VA Caregiver Phone Line : Benefits, Service and Support

Learn how the VA helps Veterans by helping family caregivers to tap into resources, services and support through a toll-free phone line staffed by licensed professionals.

While many people know that the VA offers a variety of services and benefits for Veterans, a smaller number of people are aware that the VA also offers help to family caregivers who are lending their help to a Veteran who is coping with the impact of disability, illness or aging.

One simple phone call to the VA's Caregiver Support Line will help you to identify   benefits, learn more about VA services and help you to determine eligibility for a variety of the VA programs.

The phone line is staffed by licensed professionals on  Mondays through Fridays from  8:00 am to 11:00 pm ET and on Saturdays from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm ET.

Licensed professionals who are available to take your call can: 

  • Tell you about the assistance available from VA.
  • Help you access services.
  • Connect you with the Caregiver Support Coordinator at a VA Medical Center near you.
