Westford CAT Video Systems Engineer to Focus on Equipment and Services

While most of our viewers think Westford CAT makes all the local programs they see on our channels, we actually operate more like a community media resource center where people can come and create their own videos, without having to buy expensive recording equipment and video editing systems.

Video technology is evolving rapidly and in order to keep up with the changes and continue to help our community make programs, we knew we needed more in house help. Enter Mark Rocheleau, our new video systems engineer. 

Now on board to help maintain and upgrade our equipment and production systems, Rocheleau previously served as the technical director for Fitchburg Access Television. While in Fitchburg, he was directly involved in upgrading their facilities and equipment to utilize their expanded 10,000 sq. ft. station and he also outfitted two mobile production trucks used to record events throughout the city.

 At Westford CAT, Rocheleau has already made a big impact on our production and administrative systems, and we look forward to having him apply his expertise to Westford CAT’s long term equipment upgrade plans.

Rocheleau also teaches Digital Media at the North Central Charter Essential School in Fitchburg MA.  He received his master’s degree in Applied Communication at Fitchburg State University this week.  Please stop by to welcome him aboard or plan to meet him at our upcoming annual membership meeting on Thursday, June 21^st at 7pm at the station.
