Westford Northeast Improves to 3-0

Westford's Northeast summer baseball team improves to 3-0 beating Tyngsboro 6-0. Luc Lebleu threw a complete game shutout, surrendering only two hits and striking out six.

Westford's Northeast summer baseball team beat Tyngsboro 6-0 to improve to 3-0 on the season on the back on Luc Lebleu's complete game shutout. Lebleu (7IP, 2H, 6K, 0BB) is now 2-0 with two shutouts on the year. Lebleu worked efficiently, surrendering only two hits and striking out six.

Shane Wright (2-5, 2B, 2R, RBI) and Mike Errera (1-3, R, RBI, BB) led off the game with back to back base hits, and Stephen O’Brien (2-4, 2RBI, SB) drove them in with a 2 RBI single to take an early 2-0 lead.

Westford added a third run in the 3rd when Matt Gorham scored on an error. Wright drove in Kevin Hunt (2-3, R, RBI, SF) with an RBI double followed by an RBI single from Errera to tack on runs 4 and 5 in 6th. Hunt added one more in the 7th with a sacrifice fly to plate Brian Anastas.

Westford plays at home next against Woburn tomorrow, Friday June 21st, at 6 PM at Westford Academy
