Trees Rise over Slime

The Green Slime and Neon Trees went head to head on Monday night in a tough battle.  Taking two overtimes to decide the winner it was a defensive struggle which resulted in a 5th straight win for the Trees who started the season 0-7.  Scoring for the green team was led by Stacy Shackleton and Rachel Stanley.  On the Neon Trees’ side they were led by Christina Caviston and Caitlyn Glidden along with Hailey MacDonald who made the deciding 3 pointer for the win.

Pink Friday  27 

The Buttercups came out firing and never looked back in defeating a tough Pink Friday squad and their 3-pointer barrage.  Kirsten Leary’s (12 points) hot start got the Buttercups offense rolling while Bianca Tardi (14 points) kept the offense going.  Rebecca Shepherd’s rebounding led to 10 points of her own while Erin Shaughnessey provided a lot of hustle to go along with 7 points.  Michelle Thompson (2 points) and Rebecca Holtom played a strong game defensively and helped control the boards for the Buttercups.

Pink Friday was led by Brianna Mills 9 points including a sequence of trading 3 pointers with Tardi to start the second half.  Leah Bushey and Sage Riddick displayed some hot shooting each hitting a pair of 3 pointers during a furious second half comeback attempt.   Courtney Kennedy (4 points) and Megan McGrath (2 points) also played well for Pink Friday.  A lot of laughter and fun was had by all (followed by some birthday cupcakes to top off the night.
