Classical Guitar Series Brings The Hampton Trio to PCA

WESTFORD, MA: Interested in classical, romantic and contemporary music for mandolin, mandola and guitar? Does anything sound so sweet? Well, the Parish Center for the Arts’ Classical Guitar Series is happy to bring The Hampton Trio to the PCA stage on February 25 at 4pm! A family-friendly show, tickets range from $5-$18 are available online at pcawestford.org. For groups of 4 or more, call (978) 692-6333 for reserved seating. The PCA, located right on Westford Common at 10 Lincoln Street, is an accessible space to those with mobility challenges. BYO food and beverages, as you wish.

The Hampton Trio performs original music and arrangements for ensemble of mandolin, mandola, and classical guitar. Inspired by the groundbreaking work of groups such as Trio Nuovo (Japan) and Trio Chamorro (Spain), the Hampton Trio’s goal is to popularize and augment the existing repertoire for this instrumentation. The Hampton Trio has performed at the 46 Festival Internacional de Plectro de La Rioja (2018) as well as The Sunday Sounds Series sponsored by the Boston Classical Guitar Society, the Bread Box Theater, the Packing House and other New England venues. The members of the Trio also perform in the New American Mandolin Ensemble and have appeared in plucked string music festivals in Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA.
