Good evening,
Find out what's happening in Westfordfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter to inform you of my intent to resign my position as the Principal of the John A. Crisafulli Elementary School effective June 30, 2011.
Recently, I was approached by the Franklin Public School district to apply for the principalship of the Helen Keller Elementary School, a K-5 school physically connected to the middle school where I taught prior to coming to Westford. After thoughtful reflection, I decided to apply. Last evening, I accepted the district’s offer for this position.
When I accepted my position at Crisafulli, I had every intention of staying here for the duration of my contract. My hope was that my time here would then extend beyond that period. However, the opportunity to return to my former district and to work in partnership with former colleagues within a K-8 structure is an opportunity I could not let pass me by for both professional and personal reasons.
Though I am excited to begin this new journey along my path as an educator and a school leader, it is with a heavy heart that I leave the Crisafulli community and the Westford Public Schools. I have learned a great deal during my time in Westford and will always think of the people here and my experiences with fond memories.
Warm Regards,
Julie Vincentsen
