Amazon Adventures with Anthony Mariano

On the hunt for rare minerals around the world, exploration geologist and Carlisle resident Anthony N. Mariano, Ph.D., has traversed the globe. In this special program, popular speaker Mr. Mariano will bring the Amazon to the Gleason. From emeralds to monkeys and everything in between, this is a treat for budding geologists, travel enthusiasts, or lovers of good tales.  Join us at the Gleason Public Library in Carlisle on July 19th at 7:00 PM as Mr. Marino combines expert mineral knowledge with personal experience of the river, region, flora and fauna.  Whether you are interested in learning more about adventures or the Amazon or just looking for a good story, this fascinating and inspiring speaker has something for you.  This program is recommended for grades 4 through adult. This program is part of the 2011 Summer Reading Program “One World, Many Stories” and is cosponsored by the Susan Zielinski Natural Science Fund at the Gleason Public Library and the Friends of the Gleason Public Library.  Space is limited. Reserve your spot at the “Ask Me” desk 978-369-4898.
