Emerging Adulthood: A New Life Stage

Nowadays, young people seem to wait longer than ever to marry and have children. Instead of entering marriage and parenthood in their early 20s, most people now postpone these transitions until at least their late 20s. Young adults devote their late teens through their mid-twenties to self-focused exploration, trying out different love and work possibilities. This new developmental stage is referred to as emerging adulthood, a term coined by Dr. Jeffery Arnett. Dr. Arnett will present Emerging Adulthood: The New Life Stage From Late Teens Through The 20s to explore this exciting, challenging time in our kids' lives. Tickets are $10 at the door the evening of the event.
