
Area Community Theater Groups hold Auditions
The award winning Lexington Players and Theatre with a Twist, Inc., two local community theater companies with over twenty years of service combined , will be auditioning for a night of one act plays. Six one act plays have been chosen by Artistic Directors Mary Spinosa-Wilson and Sal Jones to be performed during the second and third weekends of March 2012. Family Matters: An Evening of One Act Plays, is seeking actors ages 12 to 70, all ethnicities, to audition in Lexington on Tuesday, January 3 at The Monroe Center for The Arts, 1403 Massachusetts Ave from 7-9 PM and in Westford on January 4th at Theatre with A Twist’s Performing Arts Center, 359 Littleton Road (Route 110)from 7-9PM.
"We have selected 6 plays written by local playwrights and directed by local area directors. We are so happy to highlight so many talented artists from our local communities” states Sal Jones of The Lexington Players. "These plays tell the stories of families, friends and extended families dealing with day to day issues. Some
common and a couple not so common,” according to Mary Spinosa-Wilson of Theatre with a Twist. Family Matters seeks 7 teens, 5 male, 2 female and 20 Adults, 13 male and 7 females. We will consider doubling of roles.

A summary of each play will be provided at the audition and selections will be suggested by each director.
