“This is a concert that both children and adults can enjoy,” says singer Jeanne Masterman. “Most of the songs have been written by Americans, including Samuel Barber, Stephen Foster, and Randall Thompson. Some are American folksongs set by classical composers such as Aaron Copland. Some are settings of famous poems by authors such as Robert Frost. Their subjects are animals and nature, and we use puppets, costumes or projected pictures for each song.”  Most of the pictures are the handiwork of Westford artist, Jonnie Walker-Rohs.

There will also be an opportunity for children to dance around a maypole and to learn the cakewalk.
