Theatre with a
Twist, Inc. proudly presents Grease - School Version directed by Mary
Spinosa-Wilson and choreographed by Jamie Horban! Here is Rydell High's senior
class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and
their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" evoking the look and
sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny
Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of
their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its
way through such songs as "Greased Lightning" and "It's Raining
on Prom Night". This show’s take on the iconic high school love story has
more suitable content for a younger cast and audience. However, it certainly doesn’t lose the flair,
spirit and excitement that made the original an instant hit for rock and roll
fans of all ages! Performers include TWT’s Drama club, which is comprised of
children grades 4 – 7 only. All shows will be performed at Hale Middle School
in Stow. Show dates are as follows: 11/4 at 7pm, 11/5 at 7pm, and 11/6 at 2pm. Tickets
may be purchased at Donelans of Acton, Shaws of Stow, Red, White & Brew in
W. Acton, www.theatrewithatwist.org (paypal), or at the
door. Grease - School
Version is presented by special
arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
Book, Music, and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. For more information on this and other Theatre With a Twist
