The Westford Winter FunFest Committee, the Roudenbush Community Center, Westford Education Foundation and WASA (Westford Against Substance Abuse) invites the Westford community and surrounding towns to celebrate winter at the 1st Annual Westford Winter Family FunFest. During the Winter FunFest many different winter activities, programs, and events will be offered during the 6 week period from Friday, January 14, 2011 through the end of February.
All events planned will celebrate winter in a fun way and make this a true "community" event. Programs will be offered all over Westford for all ages - children to seniors. Many of the programs and events will be outside (weather permitting) and some will keep you warm inside too. Visit www.westford.com/funfest to see more than 40 plus activities and events that will be offered already. Some of the programs offered include: concerts, art/dance events, lectures, Art, Craft, Specialty Show, Coloring contest for children, Dog Sledding Demo, & more, Snow Sculpture Contest, Chocolate Festival, ice skating at WA, Hot Air Balloon Tethered Ride, Westford Town wide Business Scavenger Hunt and much more. Each event, program and activity will be offered and run by individual organizations, clubs, schools, churches, businesses, or other Westford groups. Some programs are FREE and others have a fee. An event program brochure will be published closer to the event both for distribution at key locations and available to down load on-line.
The Winter FunFest Committee will be encouraging Westford and area businesses to participate in this fun event by offering: special discounts, coupons and be part of the 1st Westford Winter Business Scavenger Hunt during the Winter FunFest 2011. Art, Craft & Specialty Vendors can apply to be part of the Art, Craft & Specialty Show on Saturday, Feb 12.
