2012 Apple Blossom Battle of the Bands

Friday May 18^th, 2012    Show time 6:30pm-9:30pm Weather-permitting  

This all ages free show is a family-friendly event, featuring local high school/college age bands from Westford and the surrounding areas playing a variety of different musical genres. The show is being taped live for rebroadcast on Westford CAT on channels 8 and 35 as part of the locally produced show - Local Music Rocks, hosted by Ike Keltz. Cash prizes, provided by the Westford Kiwanis, are being awarded to all bands participating to help promote local music and youth causes.

With the carnival rides and lights in the background, it's a great way to spend the evening with your friends and neighbors rocking out to original music. Featuring professional sound provided by Matt Piaseczny.

A panel of judges will score musicians using a point system.  Bands will be evaluated on Musicianship, Originality/Quality of Material, Audience Appeal, Showmanship, and Time Management.
