Grey Ghost Softball Falls to Groton-Dunstable, 3-2

Groton-Dunstable scored a run on a Westford Academy error in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge the Grey Ghosts 3-2 in softball action on Tuesday.
Westford had tied the game in the top of the seventh on a squeeze bunt by Katie Lowe that scored Emily Chateauneuf. Juliana Viscione scored Westford’s first run on a double steal in the first inning.

Offensively, Alexa Sullivan and Steph Laflamme chipped in with a triple and single, respectively. Allie Brody pitched all 7 innings for the Grey Ghosts, striking out 4 while not walking a batter.
Defensively, Westford was led by first basemen Lowe, who made a spectacular diving catch on a bunt.

With the loss, Westford drops to 1-2 on the season.
