The softball team fell to a strong Chelmsford team in its home opener, 11-2.
Starting pitcher Christie Raymond pitched well, but the relentless small-ball attack of Chelmsford broke through with 3 quick runs in the first inning and never looked back.

Offensively, Westford was led by sophomore Steph Laflamme, who ripped 2 hits. Defensively, junior third baseman Sage Riddick had a strong game with 6 assists and 2 putouts.
The loss evens the Grey Ghosts record at 1-1.
