Act III, of Littleton, continues the tradition of its predecessor, The Acton Jazz Cafe, of providing great jazz and music through the week. Gallery 529is lucky and privileged to share the building with such a well known, world renown, entity. As sister businesses celebrating all the arts, culinary, visual, musical, and literary, we are a totally unique concept that has the region applauding.
Wednesday through Saturday, pianists play during dinner, and though gratuities are welcome by the musicians, it is free of charge with your dinner. It is Act III’s gift to you for continuing to support its latest venture. Wednesday features Paul Broadnax and bassist Peter Kontrimas. Thursday is seasoned pianist Ted Knowles, and Friday, painist Joe Reid. Nearly every Saturday, Ric Maure warms the seat at the piano in the dining room.

Friday, the Cercie Miller Quartet plays, and Saturday the Bobby Keyes Band. Reservations are highly suggested. If you don’t want to pay the cover charge, you can always come and relax in the lounge. You can still hear the music, but, if you want to talk with a friend, the lounge is the perfect venue!
Between sets of music, you can wander the four rooms of the gallery, filled with artwork from local artists. More than 30 artists sell their work at the Gallery. Gallery 529 is also an all volunteer organization, and the person staffing the front desk is one of the artists. Be sure to ask about their artwork. It is always interesting to hear the stories behind the work. The gallery stays open until 10 pm, so if you find something you like, a volunteer is there to help you.
