Helicopter Lands on Route 2 to Transport Crash Victim

A medical helicopter landed on Route 2 Thursday morning to transport a victim seriously injured in car crash.

The crash happened on the eastbound side of the highway in Littleton near Route 495. Two vehicles were involved. Several people were reportedly trapped inside the vehicles before first responders freed them.

The crash happened at about 8 a.m.; the highway was closed for a short time so the helicopter could land.

The Littleton Fire Department said said two nurses, an off-duty firefighter, and an off-duty paramedic assisted first responders at the scene.

The condition of the victims was not immediately available.
