Teams Mac N' Cheese, Pink Pitbulls, Young Money, Aussies, Flash, Black Ops, and Gingers all netted wins.

The results of the WYBA's high school girls league for the week beginning Feb. 14:
Mac N’ Cheese 38, Johni Tsunami 17

On St. Valentine’s night, the Recreational Basketball league was in full swing. The Mac N’ Cheese came out strong on offense and tough defense as well. The Johni Tsunami pushed the ball and kept the game fast paced. The Mac N’ Cheese had an even strong offense with everyone scoring and Nicole Souza gobbling the rebounds on defense. For the Johni Tsunami, Danielle English played tough defense, and offense was led by Breanne Sullivan. Great last game of the regular season for both teams and we look forward to what the Mac N’ Cheese team will do in the playoffs.
The Pink Pitbulls 35, The Dino’s 31

The Pink Pitbulls team held on to beat the Dino’s in a close game. The Pink Pitbulls played a strong team defense for the win. They were led by Karina Camargo who had 15 points and countless rebounds. Molly Curley added 4 points with strong passing. Shannon Donahue was stalwart on defense and the boards, adding 6 points. Julia Bulczuk controlled the middle, Kayla Flanagan added 7 points. Georgia McAlister, Jessica Linnell, and Sarah Zeoli also played strong defense and team offense. Molly Klinka led the Dino’s with 14 points and defense. Becky O’Neil ran the offense for the Dino’s to bring them close at the end. Brianna Mills, Emily Chateauneuf and Mary Fitzsimmons all added 4 points for the Dino’s.
Young Money 28, The Pink Pitbulls 24
The Pink Pitbulls played a very strong game, leading the Young Money Team all the way. Led by Molly Curley with 4 points, and Karina Camargo with 10 points, the Pink Pitbulls played tough. Young Money came back in the last three minutes, led by Rachel Mahan with 14 points, and Ashley Gauthier with 4 points. Defense stars for the Pink Pitbulls were Georgia McAllister and Jessica Linnell. Good defense was played by Courtney Kennedy and Karina Suszynski for the Young Money team.
Aussies 32, Gators 30
In an exciting overtime game, the Awesome Aussies prevailed over the Gators, 32-30. Shayna Silton led the Aussies thundering from down under with 12 points and Allie Leblanc with 6 points. Molly Aulson led the Gators with 16 points, assisted by Catie Burke and Jessica Walsh with 4 points. Meghan Reid for the Aussies had a strong showing as usual. It was a nail biter of a game for all.
Pink Peacocks 29, Aussies 24
The Pink Panthers won an exciting game against the Aussies, 29-24. The Aussies leading scorers were Shayna Silton and Meghan Reid with 8 points. Allison Varney played great defense. For the Aussies, Meghan O’Neil sparked some great defense and Taylor Freud contributed tight defense.
Flash 40, The Purple Dinosaurs 18
We won the first half, and they won the second half but not by that much. So, Flash won the game!
Black Ops 30, Gators 26
Gators scoring was led by Molly Aulson with 15 points. Black Ops had a balanced attack and strong rebounding. See you in the play offs after February vacation!
Gingers 39, Team Official 24
It took a complete team effort for the Gingers to defeat a tough Team Official Squad. Caitlin Sheridan (11 points), Jen Larrick (6 points) and Kristen Leary (4 points) ran the offense. Rebecca Shepherd (8 points), Katie Killion (4 points) and Rebecca Holtom (2 points) worked hard on the boards. Melanie Parente (4 points), Deidre Enos, and charlotte Suszynski helped. Jen and Caitlin anchored the defense as the Gingers pulled away in the second half.
Team Official was led by the strong play of Becca Goodman (15 points) and Catherine Dorin (4 points). Danielle Donovan (3 points) and Elise Paugh played well on offense while Caroline Rosinski and Dipanshi Shah played strong offense.
