Holy Week and Easter at St. Mark's Church

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 75 Cold Spring Road, Westford will offer several different worship opportunities during Holy Week and Easter. Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday on March 20th. Our service at 10:00 am will include a palm procession and a dramatic reading of Christ’s last days. Maundy Thursday is March 24th. There will be a special service at 7:30 pm with Holy Eucharist and Ritual Washing of Hands. On Good Friday, March 25th, there will be a Tenebrae service at 7:30 pm, featuring special music and contemplative readings. The celebrations of Easter begin with the Easter Vigil on Saturday, March 26th at 4:00 pm. This is a family service involving music and stories of the Bible for and with young children. After this service, families are invited to stay for fellowship. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the children and a wine and cheese reception for the adults. Then on Sunday March 27th at 10:00 am, St. Mark’s celebrates Easter with a festival Eucharist featuring the adult choir, accompanied by organ and trumpet.
