The Independence Day celebration in Chelmsford center is always a
fantastic time, and you should make certain you stay all of the way
until the end so you can round up the evening with a musical
celebration of our nation's birthday.
Fresh from their performance on June 24th playing the national anthem at a Lowell Spinners game, the Chelmsford Community Concert Band will continue its 42-year tradition of bringing enjoyable popular music to the town and the surrounding communities by striking up a program of patriotic tunes starting at 7pm on July 3rd.
Concert
band director Lucinda Ellert, who joined the band this year, has
planned a fun program for the Chelmsford Common, belting out showtunes
on July 15, snapping out marches on July 22nd, and showcasing
bandmembers' personal favorite pop choices on August 5th. The Jazz
Ensemble will perform swinging big band tunes on July 8th and 29th. All
concerts start at 7pm and are free to anyone who wants to share the fun of live music.
