Landers Notches 100th K during 6th Complete Game Win

Littleton Freshman Pitcher passes 100 K season milestone with 17 strikeouts during complete game win vs. Lunenburg

Meredith Landers, 2020 RHP for Littleton High School softball booked her 100th season strikeout and 6th complete game win for the Tigers junior varsity team vs. Lunenburg on Friday, May 19, bringing the team record to 10-2 for 2017. Landers was dominant throughout the 13-1 contest, striking out 17 batters in 6 innings with only one hit allowed.

Heading into the last week of the regular season, Landers continues to compile impressive numbers for a Freshman both in the circle and at the plate: As a pitcher she has built a 6-1 record over 6 complete games including a no-hitter, 110 strikeouts in 49 innings pitched and a 3.18 ERA. She has silenced opposing batters with a combination of velocity and movement to maintain a Op/AVG of just .117. Landers is also a threat at the plate with a .512 AVG, 1.237 OPS and 21 RBIs. On the basepaths she has scored 14 runs and grabbed 25 stolen bases.

The Freshman RHP/corner infielder shows big promise for the future of Littleton's softball program, having already played one season at the High School level. She regularly trains at the AtBats Training Center in Boxborough, MA. This summer season, Landers will be playing for both the New England Nor’Easters (Tewksbury, MA) on their 16U Futures Team at regional tournaments, and the Acton-Boxboro Lightning 18U Travel Team in the Middle-Essex League.
