Local Turkey Trot Is Nov. 28
Proceeds from the Acton Turkey Trot will benefit the Acton Food Pantry.

The following is a news release
Acton Community Supper and Food Pantry is pleased to announce that registration is now OPEN for the 6th Annual Acton Turkey Trot, a 5K Run/Walk. The race is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 28, at the RJGrey Junior High School and will end on the beautiful, newly-renovated Richard E. Dow Track at Leary Field on the main school campus on Charter Road. Many thanks go out to the running community for their generous support and hard work in bringing that renovation project to a successful completion. This year, all proceeds from the Acton Turkey Trot will benefit the Acton Food Pantry.
The Acton Food Pantry is run by Acton Community Supper and Food Pantry, Inc., a non-profit organization established in 1985 to help alleviate food insecurity in the Acton area. The pantry opens weekly on Wednesdays from 10am-7pm and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am, serving clients from Acton and our seven surrounding communities--Boxborough, Concord, Carlisle, Littleton, Maynard, Stow and Westford. Each week, food is distributed to over 200 families through the efforts of about 75 regular volunteers--each client family receives several days’ worth of food including fresh vegetables, meat or cheese, eggs, and bread along with non-perishables.
Please register for the Acton Turkey Trot online at http://www.actonturkeytrot.com or bring/mail your registration to Marx Running (Acton Turkey Trot@Marx Running & Fitness, 423C Great Road, Acton, MA 01720.)
