Weather forecasters have made their predictions for Memorial Day weekend. Here's what you need to know.
WESTFORD, MA — If you're planning on spending time outside on Memorial Day, you may want to bring an umbrella with you.
Memorial Day is a weekend for paying tribute to our fallen soldiers, the unofficial start of summer and the day to break out your freshest pair of white pants.
But the weather may not cooperate with the festivities.

Showers and thunderstorms could threaten outdoor activities and travel plans during the extended weekend, according to the a Weather.com forecast. As of Wednesday's forecast, storms and showers are expected to hit Westford Friday morning, Saturday afternoon and Monday throughout.
While each day is not expected to be a washout, area residents will need to be prepared to bring outdoor celebrations inside at the first sound of thunder.

But despite the rain, temperatures will remain in the 70s and 80s throughout the weekend, according to Weather.com
Here is the complete forecast:
Friday: Mostly cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms in the morning. High temperature will be around 85 degrees. There will be a 40 percent chance of precipitation.
Friday night: Few clouds, with a stray chance of a shower or thunderstorm. There will be a 20 percent chance of precipitation with a low temperature around 62 degrees.
Saturday: Partly cloudy skies in the morning will give way to scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. Forecast calls for a high temperature of 93 degrees. There will be a 50 percent chance of precipitation.
Saturday night: Partly cloudy skies with a low around 64 degrees. There will be a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
Sunday: Cloudy skies with a high of 75 degrees. Chance of precipitation will be 20 percent.
Sunday night: Cloudy with low temperature of 55 degrees. Chance of precipitation will be 20 percent.
Memorial Day: Cloudy with showers and possible thunder. Forecast calls for a high temperature near 81 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
Monday night: Few clouds, with a low around 61 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
