Merrimack Valley Bank Robbery Suspect Caught In NH
Police said David Rivera robbed banks in Lowell and Lawrence this week.

LOWELL, MA — A Merrimack Valley bank robbery suspect was arrested in Southern New Hampshire this week, police announced Thursday. David Rivera, 37, of Lowell, was arrested in Salem, New Hampshire, on Wednesday, according to State Police. Rivera allegedly robbed a Santander Bank in Lowell Monday and a TD Bank in Lawrence Tuesday.
On Wednesday, November 15, investigators located and apprehended a suspect in connection with two Merrimack Valley area bank robberies.
"Members of the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office Warrant Apprehension Unit ... Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section ... and Lowell Police Department developed information that Rivera was in Salem, New Hampshire," State Police said in a statement. "Rivera was taken into custody by the joint apprehension team with the assistance of the Salem, NH Police Department. Rivera was subsequently transported to the Salem Police Department for booking and is currently being held as a fugitive from justice pending extradition proceedings."
