Missing Westford Dog Rescued After Man Stops Traffic

A dog named "Ollie" escaped in Westford but was found a short time later thanks to a Good Samaritan.

WESTFORD, MA — A missing Westford dog was found safe Friday night thanks to a Good Samaritan. "Ollie" went missing near its home on the Carlisle line. A Good Samaritan then saw the dog in the middle of a road and stopped traffic, picked the dog up and drove it to the police station, according to its owner. Police had posted a photo of the dog on its Facebook page to publicize the search.

Ollie was safe and sound after his rescue. The owner expressed her thanks to the Good Samaritan in a post on the police department's Facebook page.
