Nashoba Valley Welcomes Large Freshman Class
Nashoba Valley Technical High School saw 180 new freshman pass through its doors, giving the school its largest student body in the nearly two decades.

The school year is now well underway and welcomed it with record breaking enrollment.
Nashoba brought 180 new freshmen into the fold as well as 20 new upperclassmen for the 2011-2012 school year, bringing total enrollment up to 720, the highest overall school enrollment has been in nearly two decades.
Additionally, the growth has also spread to students responding that they expect to attend college, a number currently reported at 80 percent.

"We continue to offer Advance Placement courses in all core academic areas," said Nashoba Tech superintendent Judith Klimkiewicz. "Our foreign-language program is also expanding to meet the increasing needs of our students pursuing postsecondary education."
The school's expansion this year also is expected to include solar panels paid for by a grant from the Massachusetts Technology Commission, planning for a potential track, and new community service activities in its seven district towns: Chelmsford, Groton, Littleton, Pepperell, Shirley, Townsend and Westford.
