Need Some Sweets? One Texas Road Mom Will Deliver You Cupcakes
Between deliveries and "cupcake parties," Westford's Sarah Santos is seeing profits grow with her home based "Sweet Sarahlines" cupcake business.
If there is one thing that Westford knows, it’s cupcakes.
Folks travelling along Littleton Road can now grab one of the tasty bakery morsels from . But what if you want cupcake home delivery? Look no further than Sweet Sarahlines.
Westford resident Sarah Santos had long wanted to take her love of baking into something further, and she found her answer after hearing from a friend of a home-based cupcake business in Connecticut.

From there, Santos gained a residential kitchen permit from the Zoning Board of Adjustment last year and today she delivers cupcakes over several routes that take her throughout Massachusetts.
However, her deliveries are only a part of her business.

Perhaps the true heart of Sweet Sarahlines is at the core concept of the Connecticut business Santos saw: bringing baked “template” cupcakes without frosting to children’s birthday parties and letting the kids let their creativity shine on little doughy canvasses.
“It’s a really interesting question, I’m not sure why nobody else has done this,” said Santos. “Being the mom of three kids, we’re always looking for new birthday party ideas. We’ve done the gymnastics thing, we’ve done the ‘bring your reptiles to your house’ thing, but this woman in Connecticut, she’s booked solid for months and we have nothing like this around here.”
With the help of her children (who serve as taste testers) and her husband David’s aid with the books, Sarah’s home business has grown to the point where she can get orders for eight dozen cupcakes in a single weekend.
It’s unclear what the future holds for this Texas Road mom, but her hopes are definitely high that business will continue to increase.
“Right now it’s just a side business, but I’d eventually like to make it into a primary business,” said Santos. “Being a mom of three kids and working outside of the home, I just don’t have all the time to do everything with the kids that I would like.”
So far Neil Diamond hasn’t said anything about Santos’ home cupcake business, but if he, or anyone else, would like to do so, more information is available on the Sweetsarahlines website.
