Nonprofit group sponsors Westford workshop to help navigate the path to divorce
Workshop to help men and women thinking about or in divorce; Professionals will discuss financial, emotional, legal and family issues.

A casual yet professional workshop on October 14 in Westford can be the best three hours spent for people going into or through divorce and seeking the best outcome possible.
No matter how busy life is with work or children and the added complication of a strained partnership, taking the time to attend “Divorce Matters – Next Step: Untying the Legal, Emotional and Financial Knot” can prove valuable well beyond the conclusion of the process.
For 34 years, the nonprofit Divorce Center has helped men and women get tools they need to make wise decisions about the legalities, the finances, themselves and their families. That’s because it’s an organization of professionals in specialty areas who care strongly about what they do to support people in divorce. Their disciplines include:
- Counselors
- Divorce Financial Analysts
- Mediators
- Attorneys
- Social Workers
“When you are facing the prospect of divorce, we recognize how daunting and overwhelming it is,” said Diane Pappas, a Divorce Center member professional who coordinates the monthly workshops. “Attending our Divorce Matters workshop gives people the critical information they need to make informed decisions, have peace of mind and feel more in control of their futures and in the outcome of their divorce."
Spouses attend as individuals, and these are non-commercial workshops, providing insights and take-aways including written materials and answers to questions that fit your particular situation.
