Pepperell Student Arrested Over Instagram Threat To School
Police said Sanjay Daley, 18, of Pepperell, threatened North Middlesex Regional High School over Instagram on the first day of school.
PEPPERELL, MA — A Pepperell teenager was arrested Tuesday on charges he threatened violence against North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend on the first day of school. Sanjay Daley, 18, was charged with felony-level threatening. Police said Daley is a student at North Middlesex.

Pepperell police Chief David Scott said officers received a report Tuesday of Daley making a threat over Instagram.

"Officers quickly learned the Instagram account belonged to Daley and responded to his residence," Scott said in a statement. "Following an investigation, he was placed under arrest."
Wednesday was North Middlesex's first day of school. Scott said police officers were stationed at the school as a precaution.

“The safety of students, faculty and staff is our number one priority," Scott said.
