PHOTOS: Kids' CSA at the Fat Moon Farm

Local children are learning about agriculture firsthand this Spring at the Fat Moon Farm's Kids' Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, program.

CSAs can be found at small farms across the country, with most selling "shares" of a harvest to be collected at the end of a growing season.

Often, the money from these shares is used for the purchase of equipment needed early in the year, and can entice volunteers looking to increase harvest yields that would increase the amount of produce procured from their shares.

The farm will be holding the springtime Kids' CSA until the end of the month, and also has a hybrid CSA program which combines a traditional CSA with a farmers' market model.
