Pink Ninjas: 14
A close game featured a Pink Ninja’s offense led by Maeli Cherry and Sam Wylie, but the Blue Ice put a defensive freeze in place to come away with a win. Blue Ice’s play, led by Ankeeta Patil and Kayleigh Semeter, was the key to a strong defense. It was a great game between two equally matched teams.

Purple Platypi: 22
Christmas Trees: 20
A high energy game went right down to the wire with the Purple Platypus’s Sarah Kinney hitting two clutch free throws for the win. The Christmas Trees staged a furious comeback led by the scoring of Julia Libby and Kate Coffey. The last second win was a complete team effort, led by the rebounding and scoring of Lauren Flynn, Sindhu Kosuru, and Sofia Marchetti. The Platypus’s defense was lead by Nicole Camara and Meghan Carney.
Murky Water: 17
Blue Lightning: 13
In a physical game between the Murky Water and the Blue Lightning, the Murky Water came out on top. The Water was ahead for most of the game until a buzzer beating three-pointer from Hannah Roche tie the game at 13-13 and brought it into overtime. The Water played aggressive offense and was put on the foul line three times during the overtime. However, Haley Crogan and Rupali Shenoy brushed off the pressure to score the combined four points for the Murky Water’s overtime win.
In the first half, Hannah Roder and Elizabeth Ellis dominated the offense for the Water. Catherine Ristaino had some key rebounds and MacKensie Woodward had some amazing steals. Dani Roder played unstoppable defense along with the rest of the Murky Water, blocking the Lightning from scoring most of the second half and at all in overtime. For the Lightning, McKenna Watson played great defense and Ria Shah helped to lead the offense. It was an exciting and fun game for all involved.
Pink Ladies: 29
Orange Sherbet: 18
A hard-fought game was played by both teams as the Pink Ladies battled the Orange Sherbet to a 15-14 halftime lead. With balanced scoring, the Pink Ladies continued to build on their lead in the second half. Yamini Kumar, Caroline Crann, and Alyna Baharozian shared the ball-handling duties for the Pink Ladies. Jenny Barret had many rebounds while Aishwarya Agrawal and Morgan Dougherty played all around excellent games. Caley McKenney led the Orange Sherbet in scoring and ball-handling.
Lightning Bolts: 22
Flaming Maroons: 20
In a close game between the Flaming Maroons and the Lightning Bolts, the Lightning Bolts came out on top by a mere two points. For the Flaming Maroons, Meghana Yellanki had eight points and Briana Dilworth with four. The Lightning Bolts’ Rebecca Arnold had six points and Emma Paulauskas had four. Also, great defense was displayed by Jing Zhu and Kayla Schladenhauffen.
Longhorns: 33
Oranges: 13
The Longhorns displayed great teamwork as they hustled to a 33 to 13 victory against the Oranges. The shots were falling into the basket for the Longhorns with Carolina Colgan posting breakout numbers and Jordan Bunker finding the net from long range. The Oranges adjusted in the second half to keep the game even, including excellent defense from Katie Long and Kathleen McCarthy, and key baskets from Caroline Bates and Alyssa Cantwell. The Longhorns had strong rebounding from Taylor Vanaria and Rachel Bielen.
Red Rockets: 28
Minty Fresh: 22
The Red Rockets played a great zone defense and defeated the Minty Fresh. The Red Rockets were led by Megan Lawlor with six points and great ball handling by Maddie Dupre. Allie Tashjy and Tanu Kulkarni both played a strong game for the Minty Fresh.
