SmartQuad: Empowering Students through Peer-led Homework Help

A group of four school students from Westford is making a significant impact in the education sector with their innovative peer-led homework help service, SmartQuad. Since 2019, Harshitha and Harshtej Simhadri, along with their friends Navya Balineni and Shreya Ambekar, have been providing invaluable assistance to fellow students. SmartQuad, a nonprofit organization incorporated earlier this year, has been instrumental in empowering students and nurturing their educational growth.

The vision behind SmartQuad is simple yet powerful - if I am in the seventh grade, I could utilize my own experiences to guide and mentor sixth-grade students.

With youthful enthusiasm and audacity, dedicating their Saturdays to this noble cause, this amazing team ensures the availability of their valuable assistance. Leveraging the internet, they connect with students virtually, breaking down geographical barriers and fostering an environment of collaboration and learning.

Harshitha Simhadri, driven by a deep desire to provide educational opportunities, brings her diverse interests in Science, Indian music, dance, painting, and gardening to the forefront of SmartQuad. Her vision for SmartQuad stems from a deep-rooted desire to provide children with the educational opportunities they deserve.

Shreya Ambekar has a passion for education and has a particular fascination with mathematics. Shreya's love for problem-solving and finding solutions fuels her enthusiasm as she strives to ignite a similar interest in her students. Her dedication and enjoyment of interacting with children make her a natural fit for the role of a mentor.

Navya Balineni's goals align with her role as a mentor in SmartQuad. By helping students improve their education in various ways, she aims to empower them to reach their full potential. Additionally, her aspiration to help others think more strategically demonstrates her desire to develop students' critical thinking skills, enabling them to approach challenges and problems with a strategic mindset.

The youngest member of the group, Harshtej Simhadri, brings his determination and passion for computer science to the forefront. He dedicates his time to working on projects for social good, infusing his mentoring sessions with his expertise in the field. Harshtej's goal is to empower students and help them develop strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
