Sonus Announces Acquisition of California Company

The Technology Park Drive-based company is expected to add $15 to $20 million in addition revenues over the second half of the 2012 fiscal year thanks to the deal.

Last week Technology Park Drive’s Sonus Technologies is reporting a deal where it would acquire Fremont, California-based Network Equipment Technologies for $41.3 million.

Sonus, an internet network equipment manufacturer will pay $1.35 per share in the acquisition, which Sonus executives believe will provide approximate $15 to $20 million in additional revenues over the second half of the 2012 fiscal year once the acquisition is completed.

“We believe that acquiring NET accelerates Sonus’ strategic plan to help enterprises communicate smarter, faster and more collaboratively,” said Sonus President and CEO Raymond Dolan, in a written statement published by Mass High Tech Journal. “Businesses have struggled to unify communications via their legacy PBX platforms. Together, Sonus and NET could offer a portfolio that would enable enterprises to seamlessly and cost-effectively deliver Unified Communications from their headquarters locations out to branch offices.”
