Chocolate lovers will be in heaven at St. Mark’s Church on Saturday, February 6th. This well-known local event that indulges decadence for a good cause is celebrating its 24th year! A large portion of all proceeds benefits local food pantries. Local restaurants and bakeries create recipes with one criteria – chocalate must be the main ingredient.

Past events have included BixByte Restaurant, The Elegant Chef at Nashoba Tech, Chili’s of Westford, Mrs. Nelson’s Candy Shop and La Provence of Concord to name a few. Chocolate experts from St. Mark’s own congregation will also show off their best creations. Hundreds of chocoholics from surrounding communities celebrate this “all you can eat” Valentine tradition. Music and Valentine craft-making for the children add to this festive occasion.

Other local businesses will be represented in the afternoon’s continuous raffle which includes gift cards, certificates and a variety of themed baskets. Past businesses have included The Westford Regency Health Club, Nashoba Valley Ski Area, The Java Room, Creative Styles, Beadles Bead Shop, Trader Joe’s, Colonial Spirits, Salon 142, and many, many more. It is a great event for free publicity and community outreach for any participating company. Our local newspapers will be there for coverage of the event.

Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for senior and children ages 6 and up. Children 5 and under are free. For information, contact Jenn Walter at jamwalter@verizon.net or Sue Duran at rduran4764@aol.com. We hope you can help us make this event a great success!
