Welcome to "Great Escape," our weekly feature!
This week, we suggest you take a walk on the Stone Arch Bridge trail.
If you've never done it, you should -- especially since it's getting warmer out. It's perfect if you have kids or a dog.

The bridge was built in the 1870s by Irish workers who used nothing but huge stone pieces -- and no mortar. It's regarded as one the most beautiful such structures in New England.

You can park by the kiosk on Cold Spring Road. It's about a half-mile to the bridge. On the way, you'll pass a capped dump that used to be known as "Mt. Trashmore." Now it's a haven for bluebirds.
