Strong Second Half Pushes Girls Lacrosse Past Chelmsford

The Westford Academy girls lacrosse team was locked in a one-goal game when halftime arrived versus Chelmsford on Tuesday afternoon. But thanks to a second half outburst, it was smooth sailing for the Grey Ghosts the rest of the way.

After leading, 3-2, at the intermission, Westford opened the floodgates with its offensive attack. The Lions chipped away and made the score 8-6 midway through the second half, but the Grey Ghosts then scored six consecutive goals to seal a 14-6 win.
