'Team Lollipops' Licks Fundraising Goal for TeamWalk Event
Lowell General Hospital's TeamWalk for CancerCare Event to Take Place May 31st at Tsongas Center

Team Lollipops Licks Fundraising Goal for TeamWalk Event
Team Lollipops has enjoyed some very sweet success. The team, inspired by cancer survivor David Sullivan of Westford, is preparing for their 9th year as part of Lowell General Hospital’s TeamWalk for CancerCare. The event, taking place on May 31st at the Tsongas Center, raises funds that support local cancer patients while they are undergoing treatment.
Team captain Kristin Sullivan is thankful her dad, David, had the option of being treated so close to home with some of the best doctors and resources available. Now he is cancer-free and doing well but she dedicates quite a bit of time raising funds to help others facing the challenge.

Kristin has been selling chocolate lollipops, shaped like cancer ribbons, over the past several years and has managed to raise thousands of dollars for the cause. This year alone she has collected over $7,000, which far exceeds the goal of $5,000 that was set. Some of that money came from a May bake sale that featured goodies made by Kristen’s mom, Elizabeth Sullivan.
Even Kristin’s nephews, who are 11 and 13, joined the cause by participating in TeamWalk‘s Penguin Plunge event in February which took place in North Chelmsford . The boys were able to raise a whopping $800.
