Verizon Rolls Out New Westford 4G Network
Verizon's 4G LTE Network claims to be ten times faster than its previous network and four times faster than its competitors.

If Verizon Wireless customers in Westford are seeing the web browsers on their phones, tablets and laptops load a little quicker this week, they should know that it’s not an illusion, but an evolution.
Last Thursday, Verizon Wireless introduced its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to Westford, a move with they say will increase downloading speeds for smartphones and other devices that use cellular internet technology by a factor of ten.
According to a study performed by Laptop Magazine, in other areas the 4G LTE networks download data at approximately 5 to 12 megabits per second (approximately ½ to 1 ½ megabytes,) and approximately 2 to 5 megabits per second uploading: an average rate which the study put at approximately four times faster than the 4G networks of its main competitors.
