WA Students Win Environmental Innovators Award

Four students were recognized.

Westford Academy announced last week that Chiraag Lathia, Akhil Sontakke, Philip Dominici and Evan Wang won $350 and a second-place prize in the Intel-OAR Environmental Innovators Contest for their project, "Solving the Problem of Milfoil in the Assabet."

According to the school, their proposal identified the best herbicide and included designing a prototype boat to optimize herbicide application and plant removal.
