Westford Defeats Chelmsford, 2-1

Caitlyn Paltsios and Nicole Souza put away unassisted second half goals to provide Westford Academy a 2-1 victory on the road against Chelmsford on Tuesday.

Both goals came earlier in the second half of what was a game impacted by poor weather conditions.

Chelmsford's Caitlyn McCabe got the Lions on the board with a shot into the upper left hand corner of the net shortly after Souza's goal, but it was one of few opportunites the home team had as Westford doubled Chelmsford's seven shots on goal.

With the result, Westford climbed to 6-1-0 while Chelmsford fell to 4-4-2.
