The Tavern - which was run as such through generations before becoming a bed & breakfast - is open year round (to a maximum of five guests.) There are three bedrooms reflecting New England and British roots.
"Robert Fletcher was the first Fletcher on these shores, arriving in 1630 from West Ridinge, Yorkshyre, settling in what became known as Concord," said current owner, Elizabeth Fletcher Glenn. Robert was the grandfather of Glenn's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather, who first deeded the Tavern more than 300 years ago.

Guests can expect good comfort and food, and even the English Cottage Gardens (seasonally.) And make sure to check out the hand-painted map of West Ridinge, Yorkshyre, dated 1610, hanging in the Tavern, maybe before warming up by the wood-burning stove. And while there might be an aura of Colonial times, don't be fooled: you'll have a 42-inch HD TV and Blu-Ray player.
