Water Service Temporarily Cut in Nabnasset

The shutoff was due to "unanticipated complications" with a water main replacement project.

Water service was shut off in a portion of the Nabnasset neighborhood Monday as crews worked on a water main replacement project.

Mark Warren, of the Westford Water Department, said the shutoff was due to “unanticipated complications” with the project. The shutoff was announced at about 2:30 p.m. and was expected to last about an hour. Affected streets include Edwards Avenue, Hadley Road, and Wilson Lane.

Crews last month started work on the water main project, which is expected to be completed in a few weeks.
