Westford Academy Named Among Newsweek's Top 100 Public High Schools in 2016

The school made a huge jump after not being ranked last year.

WESTFORD, MA — Just in time for the start of the school year, Newsweek released its annual list Thursday of the top public high schools in America in 2016, and Westford Academy has made the list.

Westford Academy was ranked among the nation's top 100 schools by Newsweek, ranking 47th in the country and second in Massachusetts, behind only Boston Latin.

According to Newsweek's research, 86.2 percent of Westford Academy students are college ready, the school has a 98.6 percent graduation rate, and 97.6 percent of its graduates are college bound. Westford Academy was not listed in 2015's rankings.
