Westford Academy Theater Arts Presents "Proof" by David Auburn

Westford Academy Theater Arts proudly presents their production of the critically acclaimed drama “Proof” by David Auburn directed by Westford Academy Alum Dennis Canty, assistant directed by junior Gillian Limbert, and stage managed by junior Keely Craig. This Pulitzer prize winning drama follows a lost and spinning Catherine just after her father has passed. Catherine gets an unexpected visit from her sister, Claire, begging her to come to New York, but she doesn’t want to leave the house her father, Robert, lived in for so many years. Robert was a brilliant mathematician whose genius slowly deteriorated into insanity, and whose insanity might have rubbed off onto Catherine. Hal, a late student of Robert’s, comes into the house day after day to examine notebooks looking for some lucidity that might have slipped through the cracks, and possibly a beautiful mathematical proof. A combination of family, love, loss, and math, this world renowned play isn’t one to miss. The small cast is made up of senior Stephanie Miller as Catherine, senior Marco Liguori as Robert, seniors Callan Rendall and Coleman Gilbert as Hal, and junior Olivia Overington as Claire. Shows will be January 28, 29, and 30th at 7:30 with a 2:00 matinee on the 30th. Tickets will be sold at the door.
