Westford Girl Scout Helps Dying Animals
One Westford girl wanted to make her Girl Scout project give a lasting memory, so she decided to help dying animals.

Most Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts need to complete a project that helps their community, but LillyAnna Kuehl wanted to go above and beyond her peers.
According to a Associated Press story, Kuehl went beyond the average Gold Award Project, the Girl Scout equivalent of an Eagle Scout Project, fighting the local Girl Scout Council to help build a memorial for dead pets in the area.
"It was very disappointing early on that she was getting negativity from the Girl Scouts in doubting that she could get it done," said Jeanie Pecora, Kuehl’s Gold Award adviser, to the Associated Press.
