Men Eyed in Westford Home Break-ins Caught: Police

WESTFORD, MA — Police have charged two local men suspected of breaking into several Westford homes.

Peter Carter, 31, and Philip Carter, 33, both of Chelmsford, were arrested last week in Burlington and and charged with breaking and entering in that community. Police said they broke into a woman’s home on Fri., Jan. 8 at noon but fled when the homeowner confronted them.

Police said they pair is also suspected of breaking into more homes in Burlington and Westford.

Burlington Police Chief Michael Kent released this statement:

“Thanks to the hard work of Burlington Police and for assistance from Chelmsford Police, we were able to arrest these suspects without incident ... They were instrumental in resolving the case successfully.”
