Westford Man to Be Ordained By Cardinal O'Malley
Francis Burke will be one of 13 men ordained to the Order of the Deacon.

Cardinal Seán O’Malley on Saturday will ordain a Westford man to the Order of Deacon during a ceremony at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.
Francis Burke will be one of 13 men that will be ordained. He will be assigned to St. Mary Parish in Chelmsford, where he said he will focus on serving the poor and homeless. He’s currently a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria parish in Westford. He’s married and has two children. He recently retired after a career in the technology sector.

The group of men includes four Hispanics, a Brazilian, and a member of Vietnamese community.
“Each brings his unique gifts to their ministry,” O’Malley said in a statement. “We are grateful to their loved ones, especially their wives and families, for their love, support and encouragement as our new deacons have prepared themselves for this lifelong commitment to the Church.”
