Westford Man Left Dogs In 128-Degree Car: Police
Police say the dogs were found in a parked car at Merrimack Premium Outlets.

WESTFORD, MA – A Westford man was charged with animal cruelty after allegedly leaving two dogs inside a hot car. Officers in New Hampshire were called to Merrimack Premium Outlets around 1:25 p.m. on July 2 and found the dogs in a car with the windows slightly open, police said.
The outside temperature was 91 degrees at the time; inside the car, police measured the temperature at 128 degrees, according to a statement.
The dogs were in good condition when animal control brought them to the police department. They were turned over to a responsible family member.

The driver of the car, 22-year-old Samuel Frackleton, was arrested. He was released on $1,500 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on July 12.
