Westford Miracle! Dog Recovered, Has New Home
Baxter had been on the loose for 24 days.
Baxter, the dog who volunteers were trying to recover in Westford for nearly a month, has been recovered and has a new home.
Missing Dogs Massachusetts tells Patch the dog settled at a property at the lake on Fletcher, where MDM set up a trap that Baxter kept on avoiding.
Two volunteers went out and checked on Baxter every day, but stopped a few feet shy of the women each time. Finally, using the age-old trick of leaving a trail of food, one of the volunteers trapped Baxter inside a garage and put the slip lead on him.

Baxter is now home with his adoptive family (above) and the hope is that he will adjust after a few days of decompressing. MDM says Baxter probably has never had a home inside of a house before.
Great job, MDM! Thanks for helping Baxter to his new home.
