Last Sunday, the Cub Scouts of Westford Pack 100 held their first bike rodeo at the Abbot School parking lot. The weather was perfect as the Scouts and their siblings enjoyed challenging obstacle courses, a station to “trick-out” their bikes, and a long bike course. The highlight of the rodeo was when Westford Police Sergeant Marc Proia visited and instructed the scouts on safe bike operation and rules of the road. Some of the children even got to sit in his police SUV.
Cub Scout Pack 100 is chartered by the Westford Rotary Club and is a member of the Spirit of Adventure Council Westwind District of the Boy Scouts of America. We are a family-oriented, year round program for boys and girls from Kindergarten to fifth grade. If your child is interested in scouting, please join us at our next Pack meeting on Friday Dec. 7 at 7pm in the Abbot Cafeteria or contact pack@westfordpack100.com.
